This lnternational Standard provides definitions fora number of concepts specific to dentistry in theinterestoffacilitatingdevelopment andcomprehension ofstandards,and to improvecommunication with theFederation Dentairelnternationale,the World Health Organization andother interested organizations.
NOTEAnnex A provides additional information thatcan be helpful to users of this International Standard.
